Don’t Step On A Bee Day reminds us that these tiny winged creatures need our help! The number of bees in some countries has dwindled by nearly half with no apparent cause. Since we rely on our fuzzy friends for pollination and honey production, we need to maintain bee populations.
In their daily foraging through the gardens, parks, and wooded areas, bees can fly several miles away from their hives, spreading the nectar and pollen they pick up. Without the work of these busy little bees, more than a third of what we eat would disappear from our tables!
