It’s 5:00 somewhere – so why not leave the office early and enjoy the day?!
National Leave the Office Early Day is the brainchild of Laura Stack, an employee productivity specialist. She noted that Americans work about 49 hours each week – nearly 350 more each year than our European counterparts.
However, not all of those hours are productive, and giving employees an incentive to improve efficiency and productivity is just the carrot some need. Allowing workers to go home once their tasks are complete has been shown to benefit both employees and employers.
