It’s World Health Day
World Health Day recognizes the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948. WHO is a specialized agency of the United Nations dedicated to directing and coordinating global health efforts, promoting health, and ensuring the highest attainable health standard for all.
On World Health Day, we focus on raising awareness of health issues that affect people around the globe and in our own homes. It’s a great day to join a gym, commit to healthier eating habits, or even schedule that long overdue visit to the doctor.
It’s also a reminder that health concerns affect all of us – so think even bigger! Consider taking steps like donating your time to a local food bank or donating your blood to a local blood bank.
