September 11th is Patriot Day. Today we honor the nearly 3,000 victims who died in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on our nation.
It was a day of horror and heroes. Brave first responders, Flight 93 passengers, and countless others rose up against an unprecedented onslaught by the militant group Al Qaeda. While the country struggled to make sense of the chaos that seemed to be erupting all around us, we also stood firmly united against these heinous acts.
Today, we come together to remember the events of 9-11 and the men and women who lost their lives as a result.
