IHOP restaurants introduced National Pancake Day in 2006 as a charity fundraiser (nearly $30 million to date!) But pancakes aren’t exactly a new food. In fact, the remains of a flapjack were found in the stomach of Otzi the Iceman and date back nearly 5,300 years!
